You will find restaurants and bars in every
nook and cranny in Westendorf! - on top of the mountain, through
shady forests and in the distant valleys. Wherever you happen to
be, prices are generally very fair and menu's offer international
dishes and plenty of Tyrolean specialities. Below are a few just
to wet your appetite:-

For the hungry walker! A large helping of fried potatoes, bacon, pork and
onions, usually served with a fried egg on the top and virtually always
brought to the table still sizzling away in the frying pan. |
Kaiserschmarrn

sugar and served with fruit puree. although this appears on the dessert
menu in many restaurants, it is intended more as a main meal or a desert
to be shared with friends. |

Dumpling in all kinds of shapes and sizes! You could tuck into a savoury
dumpling made with bacon (Tiroler Specknödel), cheese or spinach;
these could be served either in a soup or with sauerkraut. For desert,
try a fruit dumpling with sugar or for the really daring, why not try a
Germknödel? This will stop any one in their tracks! A large suety
type of dough, filled with plums and jam and then topped off with poppy
seeds and melted butter.

Apples, cinnamon, raisins in pastry served either hot or cold, with or
without cream. |

And last but by no means least a tasty strawberry cake - cream is a must
with this one. |

A resistable mouthwatering raspberry
cake. |
Käsekuchen
Mouth watering cheesecake, with or without fruit topping. |
Coffee
Coffee served in Austria is much stronger and is either served by the cup
